Full-time Position

Duties to include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Receive file from Front Desk Legal Assistant to schedule closings on the calendar.

  • If a purchase, e-mail real estate agents and pre-closer of the closing date and time.

  • If a refinance, e-mail lender and copy pre-closer on the closing date and time.

  • Give file to pre-closer for title request, etc.

  • Once attorney has reviewed title search, receive the file back from pre-closer and review attorney’s notes.

  • If the binder needs to be underwritten, prepare binder.  If the binder has already been submitted review and ensure all information is correct.

  • Prepare preliminary Closing Disclosure or Hud.

  • Prepare the CPL.

  • Input the figures for the payoff, HOA, Homeowner’s insurance, lender fees into Select.

  • Send packet to the Lender for review.

  • Input 1099 information into Select.

  • Once packet is received from Lender balance everything on the CD.

  • Send Notes page to the abstractor and request new date 1 to 3 days before closing.

  • Send ALTA Settlement Statement to the agents for review and approval.

  • Receive various invoices from realtors for collection and input to CD or Hud.

  • Prepare closing documents for attorney/closing copy packet for Buyers.

  • Cut checks for closing.

  • Submit file to Post-closer for processing.

  • If package requires funding authorization, send to Lender for approval.

  • Prepare wires as needed.

  • Meet with Sellers for signing as required.

  • Advise front desk personnel of any/all terminated contracts and copy info sheet to file – refund any EMD per realtors termination notification instructions.

                                                                                                       

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean workspace, to include emptying trash can.

  • Meet with clients both in person and on the phone as needed.

  • Return e-mails and phone calls within one workday.

  • Complete other duties as assigned to assist attorneys and office personnel.
