The Ligon Firm, P.C. is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy as a consumer in the mortgage lending and real estate settlement industry. As settlement agents for mortgage lenders, our customers, we restrict access to your non-public information (“NPI”) to those parties who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to our customers, or as otherwise permitted by law. NPI includes personally identifiable data provided by a consumer on a form or application, information about a consumer’s transactions, or any other information about a consumer which is otherwise unavailable to the general public, including, but not limited to, first name or first initial and last name coupled with any of the following: Social Security Number, driver’s license number, state-issued ID number, credit card number, debit card number, or other financial account numbers.
We collect NPI from the following sources:

Information received from our customers on applications, forms and in other communications to us, whether in writing, in person, by telephone, by email, online, or any other means;

Information about customer transactions with our firm, its affiliates, or others; and

Information received from a consumer reporting agency
We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the privacy and confidentiality of your NPI in compliance with federal and state law.
