Attorney

Virginia "Ginny" Kittles has been practicing law in the Golden Isles since 1992. She owned a general solo law practice for 17 years in coastal Georgia, practicing real estate, adoption, wills and estates, domestic relations, criminal and disability law. She joined The Ligon Firm in 2009, practicing in its general litigation, real estate and elder law departments. She has been active in her local community, having served on the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity, the Brunswick YWCA; and Coastal Mentors (f/k/a Big Brothers Big Sisters)

Prior to law school, Ginny was a Magistrate Court Judge in McIntosh County from 1984 to 1989. She graduated from Armstrong State College in 1989 with her Bachelors in Liberal Arts and a minor in psychology. Ginny earned her Juris Doctor from Walter F. George School of Law in 1992. She has appeared before the Georgia Supreme Court and has represented clients in the Georgia Court of Appeals. 

While on the bench, Ginny was appointed to serve on a Domestic Violence Task Force. Early in her legal career, she was appointed to serve on the Advisory Board of Attorneys’ Title Guaranty Fund. She has received service recognition awards from the McIntosh County Board of Commissioners and the Pro Bono Project of Georgia Legal Services. She enjoys reading and kayaking, and is a competitive swimmer.
